Gram Sabha:
Ø It is mandatory to include all types of people and held at regular intervals.
Ø The main intense of calling Gram Sabha on quarterly bases is to empowerment and participant of people of village.
Ø Seven rounds completed, 1.6 laces Gram Sabha held, 87 laces villagers attended.

Unity is strength:
Ø Samras gram scheme introduced to improve and reduce unhealthy competition during Gram Panchayat election.
Ø Villages electing their Panchayat members with consensus declared as Samras Gram Panchayat.
Ø They have right to give Rs.1 (More than 5000 population) and 60,000 (Less than 55,000 population).
Ø 3780 villages Panchayat declared as Samras Gram Panchayat.
Rewarding good Civic Behaviour Tirth Gram Yojana:
Ø Village free of crime, cast conflicts, alcoholism and other social evils and maintaining progressive and positive standards in civic life being given incentives by the government under this scheme.

Lok Kalyan Mela:
Ø To educate and activate the rural masses, especially the backward sections towards the well-fare scheme of government and to remove middleman, the concept of Lok Kalyan Mela was started.

Empowering women:
Ø A new department of women and child development to focus on their overall well fare started.
Ø Gender equity policy has been prepared for empowerment of women.
Ø 100% Girl child enrolment in schools launched.
Ø Self-employment scheme like ‘Ghar Divda’ for women below poverty line with subsidy up to 50%.
Ø ‘Swashakti project’ implemented in 10 districts.
Ø Stamp duty relief on women purchasing property.

Panchayti Yojana:
Ø A new scheme launched to improve the habitat of villages, put up gardens along with re-creational facilities and play-ground for children.
Ø Assistance provided to the tune of Rs.1 lace for such parks.

E-gram: A Global village:
Ø To provide access to information, villages been empowered with computer and internal facilities.
Ø During current year 3000 villages to be linked with e-governance.
Development of Backward Classes:
Ø Socio-economic development of most backward classes among SCs given priority.
Ø 15% reservations made in admission of government schools and hostels.
Ø Dr. Ambedkar loan scholarship for higher studies in foreign countries.
Ø First state to start “Gujarat Safai Kamadar Nigam” for rehabilitation of sweepers and their dependents.
