CM joins the tourists from all over the world to take delight in the moon-lit white rann of Kutch
It was a full moon day of magsar month and also the occasion of Datt Jyanti. In this regard the Chief Minister went to Black mountain and offered prayers to lord Dattatreya before reaching to the tent city in Dhordo. At Black mountain Mr. Modi flagged off an adventure rally organized by the forest department.
There is a place called Dhrobana on the foot of Black mountain which is believed to have magnetic effect on the visitors. Chief Minister also visited an under-construction housing colony near Dhrobana where houses will be built in the style of ‘Bhunga’ – an eco-friendly traditional house of Kutchi people. The colony is being constructed especially for tourism and nature lovers jointly by the Gujarat government and JP associate under PPP model.
A village fair was organized in Dhrobana where various cultural artist-groups greeted the Mr. Modi encouraged the participants of various village competitions like camel race and others held in the fair.
In the evening Chief Minister went to the tent city in Dhordo. He took a round to the craft-bazar and encouraged the artisans of world-famous Kutchi art products. He said the Rann Utsav is contributing significantly in providing employment in Kutch region. He, along with the visitors, watched a video show on flamingos.
Today it was both, the full moon and the lunar eclipse, which promises great scenic beauty to the observers. To take delight in such miraculous and spiritual experience Chief Minister then went to the white rann taking the camel safari along with the tourism minister.
It is noteworthy that the areas of white rann and the Black mountain have some magnetic elements which gives an experience of spiritual bliss to the visitors. It is also a breeding site for flamingos and other foreign birds. The state government is developing the entire area as a part of spiritual tourism.tyle="font-weight:bold;">
